Know Your Casting!
Also known as your “brand” or your “type”, your casting is what people see you as when you walk into the room. It can be confusing at first, but it is crucial to understand your casting, especially when you start auditioning.
As much as we would all love to play every type of role there is, it is often much easier when you’re starting out to book the “low-hanging fruit”, as in, the roles that people immediately see you as. If casting directors see you naturally as a role that could fit into their show, you have a much higher chance of booking that job.
SO. How do you figure out your casting? I’m sharing a free resource that can help you identify exactly how others see you in this week’s #GuruTips! (I even share my own experience with this, so be sure to watch until the end!)
Each week I post a weekly blog on ActingResourceGuru.com, focusing on tips and best practices for actors. Watch them all at ActingResourceGuru.com/blog!
